I have a 1988 Firebird with a 305 TBI. I was planning on dropping in a new crate 350 and just needed to know what I would have to do about the computer because im probably changing to a carb. Any help would be appriciated.

well if you going with carb you have noting to worry about. however you will need a non computerized hei disributor.

350,performer RPM intake ,650dp, 700r4, headers, 3inch exhast

 

Do I just drop in the engine and disconect the computer completely? Also will not using the computer cause any other problems?

 

Hey pimp, go to the engine swap tread and they can give you the info you need, you'll most likely be moved there anyway as soon as a moderator sees this. Good luck with your swap. Jim
