can it run on 6 plugs?
can it run on 6 plugs?
I'm still trying to start this damn car and have decided that maybe the plugs need to be changed again after a whole one day of cranking over. If i just replace the front six will it run?

are you replacing the front 6 because the plugs dont work? If so and you just have dead plugs in the 7-8 cylinders your car will run with only 6 cylinders but you will probably have a heavy vibration.....you definitly want to get the other 2 replaced asap. What you dont want to do is try to start the car with plugs not in at all because it makes this really loud awful noise.

Just Remove the plugs and clean them up...."wet fouled" You arent leasving the back 2 because of the difficulty of removing them, are you..
Well the engine is working. I just wanted to see if it would start with those six before I jacked the car and replaced the other two. No sense wasting my time if it wouldnt work anyway.

OK...now I am curious enough to ask...
If it won't turn over...how were you driving it? (Let me guess...push it downhill and pop the clutch? Please let me be wrong)
Is the starter not turning? Is there power to the starter? Is the ignition switch bad? This isn't rocket science...just troubleshooting...

this reminds me of when the #8 cylinder plug popped out of the motor in my 83. i drove it like that a little, it was slower but no vibration, the only thing was it was louder then all hell, like a helicopter
