Installing a "Pusher" Fan...

I need to upgrade my stock fan system on my '89 IROC. The plan is to get two Perma-Cool 16" fans, installing one on the radiator as a "puller" fan (like the stock fans), and then installing the other in front of the condenser as a "pusher" fan.

I know a 16" fan will fit on the radiator. The problem is, I'm not exactly sure that a 16" will fit on the condenser. Moreover, I'm not sure if the fan will run into any clearance problems being where it is.

Has anyone tried a fan setup like this before and, if so, could you offer some tips?

Thanks

if a fan is pushing towards the front of the car how does that accomplish anything.....wouldnt it either be shielded from the wind and hence pushing warm air around in the engine bay or be open to the wind but then at any speed it would do nothing? Is it intended more for when the car is idleing??? i dont get it.

The idea behind the pusher is that it pushes cold air through the radiator. The stock fans, however, accomplish the movement by pulling air across the radiator. Both fans are moving air in the same direction through the radiator, they're just doing it from different sides.
