jeez what is wrong with this car...

ok i got the starter installed (finally) and when i went to hook the battery back up i had no power at all. Help!!!

I agree with Ede, first you should determine if your battery has a charge. If not charge it, or get a good one if its gone bad. If thats still not it, you need to look into your wiring theres a bad connection somewhere, or something was left unhooked. Check battery cables, make sure everythings securely put on your starter.

Hmmm...

Had power before you changed the starter; doesn't have power after you changed the starter.

Sounds like you left some wires off.

There should be a couple of wires with a large ring terminal that go on the same post on the starter where the battery cable goes. Those connect the entire rest of the car to the battery. I'd take a look at those, make sure they're put back where they came from.

are u sure u put the wires on the correct small terminal? my starter had 2, one wasnt needed.

Agreed, check and double check that you have all the wires going to the right terminals. They are very easy to get swapped around. Ask me how I know......

when you say "no power" do you mean the starter isnt working, or no power throughout the whole car (lights, radio, etc.) if nothing throughout the whole car then its a dead batt, if not then check the wire connections.

i figured it out it was a missing wire on the starter. thanks a ton
