ECM and T56question

I may be swaping to a t56 and want to know 2 things.
1. do i need a different drive shaft than the 700r4 one?
and
2. will i have to have my prom redone with the swap to a T56.....boy I hope not but if so looks like ill learn to burn..
well 3. think a t56 will hold upto 536RWHP 569FT LBS? if not may not even be worth the swap.

Thanks

You can keep the stock length driveshaft and torque arm as long as you get a T56 out of an F-body.

The AFTERMARKET BW T56 kit requires you to shorten the driveshaft and torque arm.

Don't know about the prom thing...

At those power levels, I see a lot of guys switching to a TH 400. That's not to say a T56 can't handle that much power...Viper's seem to do it fine. It's just if you drag race a lot a beefed up auto will be better in your application.

Why didn't anyone email me on this??? Boy, I'm glad I stopped in. OK, get a T56 from an Fbody, use your stock driveshaft, but GET THE TORQUE ARM MOUNT THAT GOES ON THE T56!!!!! You can use your stock prom, anyone who says otherwise is full of horse****. If you have 2.77 gears, might wanna switch them, but I'm running a stock TPI 350 (well, pretty much stock anyways), and I have 2.77 rear gears, and the 2.66 first gear ratio, and this damn thing still WAXED a 93 5.0. Get it done, it'll hold the power, and it's worth it.
