My oil pressure is high, is this the cause ?

My oil pressure is high, is this the cause ?

Will my oil pressure read high on the guage, if i have a moderate dent in my oil pan ??

Nope. Have you changed oil weights recently, or has the ambient or operating temperature of the motor changed dramatically?

If the oil pressure guage reads unusually high and remains high, even when the engine has reached proper operating temperature, then it is most probably your oil pressure sensor.

I was having a problem with high oil pressure ever since I put in the 350. It pegged the guage. I replaced the guage and sending unit and it still reads 60 to 65 psi when warm. Is this normal and could it hurt anything? Thanks
