Max cam lift for a 305?

Ok, whats the maximum amount of lift I can run for a barely streetable 305?

I want to run the Comp Cam XE262H grind as recommended by ws6transam, but is it possible for me to step up one more size to the XE268H grind?

Specs for both are as follows:

Comp Cam XE262H- 218/224@.050 .462/.469" lift
Comp Cam XE268H- 222/230@.050 .477/.480" lift

Thanks

can't remember exactily but the last time i check piston to valve clearance i think it took right at .7 to hit a piston with a valve at tdc. i'd say aything under.6 lift would be safe, but it's always a good idea to check
