I also had to work on the dip stick tube for quite a while to get it to work.
What I did was cut off the stock dip stick holder bracket which bolted to the stock exhaust manifold.
Then I turned the dip stick tube forward and used the supplied bracket and bolted it to the number 2 exhaust tube. I believe I had to bend the tube a little to get it to work but don't over do it.
Also, be sure to use some RTV sealer on the tube before you put it in the hole in the block.
Basically, my oil dip stick handle faces to the front of the engine now, instead of staight up, but is easy enough to remove and replace when checking the engine oil.
If you broke the stock dip stick tube I would get a replacement so you can reuse your stock dip stick.
Hope this helps.

Well, if you read the direction sheet, if it is the same as my TES headers, it tells you that the dipstick tube and header must be lowered and drawn into place together with each other. If you bolt the header on first, you won't get the dipstick tube inserted properly. Once it's all in place, the two clamps provided in the header kit are used to secure the dipstick to the header tube.
