Serp belt setup

Does anybody know if the V6 serp belt setup is the same as what is found on the V8?

Bernard,
I doubt they are the same due to one being 90° and the other 60° engine.
Last time I was at Cash&Carry they had a 1989 5.0 TBI F-body with the engine still there with no intake.

The ones that I've seen are quite a bit different from what I can tell. Locations of the components is pretty close, but I think the mounting bolt holes are quite different. Also, the right head is further forward on the V6 cars, opposite the small blocks.

Hope this helps!

I don't know what the hell I was thinking. I should have known better. Anyway, I will keep shopping. I have seen some good deals, I will call cash&carry tommarow.

That's ok, we're all like that sometimes! I get ideas in my head sometimes, and have to see proof to get it straight!

I just wish there was a serp belt setup that would work with the alt and A/C compressor where they are now. What I did to slove some of my problems with the alt belt is go to the setup that you may have, with the ribbed belt for the alt. Never lost one yet!
