chip cant detect engine.

I recently did an engine swap, but the computer chip says it cant detect an engine. The engine starts up fine, and would probably drive fine too, but i dont wanna chance it. We replaced the computer chip, but it still says it cant detect it.... any ideas as to why? All help will be appreciated.

WHAT?

A "computer chip" is a programed piece of plastic that contains information that your ecm uses to operate the engine....it doesn't tell YOU anything

and by the way, which error code is "can't detect engine"?

please try explaining your problem again
