Still Having MAF problems

Where would this hole be located on the manifold that streetlethal was mentioning? I Have yet to have the time to see if the MAF filament glows after shutdown, I will get to that tonight. I did however check voltage at the burn off relay and MAF sensor all of witch were good. If the the filament glows tonight, what else can i try? It's crazy I took the car out yesterday and floored it, it has a slight hesitation and revs high and then kicks in and squils the tires as it switches gears. It's fun, but i want all that power right when I punch it, not a second after. Any ideas are appreciated!
Have a good one,
JT

From: Palm Bay, Florida, USA
Car: 95 E-150 & 07 Kawasaki ZX-6R
Engine: A slow one & a fast one
Transmission: A bad one & a good one
Axle/Gears: A weak one & a chained one
What do you mean by 'revs high, then kicks in'... Do you mean it's down on power below a certain rpm?

Does it stumble or miss at high rpms...or backfire when it's up there or when it shifts? That could be signs of a crap ignition... Check your spark and your wires....the bad ignition could cause you to flood with fuel at lower rpms as the ignition can't burn it off....once the rpms pick up, the ignition is sparking often enough that it can burn some of the excess and give you power back..but it's still gonna be weak and peak voltage will be down, hence stumbling, misfiring, etc.

It could also be a whole mess of different sensors to blame though....as mentioned, MAF and TPS.....O2 could contribute as well.

I can tell you this.. My car had no power below 3000 rpms. It would get up to about 3500 rpms and then whip sideways, break the tires loose, and the tach would spike to 5500-6000 in a split second. I discovered 2 broken fuel injectors several weeks later. They were leaking and it took about 3500 rpms until my ignition was able to burn the excess.

Just for clarity, the element won't glow until you turn the key off.

If that's the case, before you change the MAF, swap the MAF burnoff relay.

Still looking for answers(STREETLETHAL can you help me?)

I have already changed the relay. I think I have done everything exept change the sensor itself. I just have a hard time spending $160 on a sensor, not knowing for sure if that will even fix it!!

I have other info posted on a thread called code 36. I hope this helps!!

Before we waste more bandwidth making suggestions, then you shooting them down...why not list what the heck you've changed/replaced/tested, etc. and the results.

Or we could just go on guesssing all day.
