what do you think of this setup?

87 4 bolt 350 bored .060 over.
041 heads
LT4 HOT cam
about 9.5-10:1 compression
edelbrock performer intake and 600cfm carb.
1.5" headers

trans is th2004r i'm going to have rebuilt and strengthened.

it has a 3.23 10 bolt rear i havn't decided if i need something stronger.

how much hp and trq do you think this would make? also, do you think i could get over 15mpg? thx

looks common, wouldn't run the 1.5 inch headers though. should make a bit over 300hp.

do you think the 1.5" headers woud hurt it that much? right now it has a 2" after the Y(its more than .5" smaller than stock) but every shop i go to tells me I wont feel a difference with a bigger one. i also put a fuel pressure guage in the O2 sensor bung and reved it in park to about 5500 and it went to 7-10 psi which is a lot for exhaust back pressure. it will probably go up a lot more when its driven. at idle it fluctuates between 1-2. what do you think?

i would say at least 1.625 headers and a much improved exhaust from there back.

throw a set of 3.73 gears and a mild converter(2400-2600) and you have my set up( except i have a 700r4 and edelbrock 750 carb) love it. But if i had to do over i would of ditched the 041's and put a set of vortecs from what i have been told i would of seen about 25-30 more ponies

whats the highest compression i could run with that cam on 93 octane running around 180*?

i guess my best bet with the exhaust would be to get a set of hedman headers and y-pipe since i already have a 3" catback.

im using the comp cam extreme energy 274 and 10.25 comp timing set @ 16 btdc and it runs great w/o any problems on 93 octane
