305 and hp
ok ive been reading that the 305's arent the greatest to push out hp, so what is the most power you could expect to get from the 305? Like doing a head swap, crank, pistons and cam etc...no boreing, or polishing etc..direct bolt on.

I'm not an expert on 305's...but I DO know 302's FAIRLY well considering I've got one...and I'd say with heads, a cam, roller rockers, stock rotating assembly and pistons and all....with some good bolt ons and in good tune.... I'd say you could be putting out 300+ hp to the wheels. Naturally a crank, pistons, etc. will give you even more.

Based on popularly accepted conversion formulas, the combo in the sig puts 250 HP to the wheels (the Camaro, not the '57). Didn't touch pistons/rings/bearings.
