041 vs 441 heads
i have a set of 041 heads and i just got a set of 441 heads. the 441s have screw in studs and new valve springs but they need new valve seats. how good are the 441s compared to the 041s? i know the 041s were one of the best for back then but would i lose more than 10-20hp by swiching to the 441s with the same compression? also, the 441s have 76cc chambers right? thx

The 041's are the better head. Has a better combustion chamber,
better plug location. Has more flow potential especially with big valves and porting.
The 441's will lower the compression ratio by about 1
compared to the 041's.

about how much hp are we talking about on an engine with about 10:1 compression, and a cam with about 220-230 duration at .050?
