what exactly is an LT1???

stock Lt1??? modded??? you need to specify.

To beat a stcok LT1 all you need is basic bolt ons.

To beat a bolt on modded LT1... you are going to need a cam, possibly heads, and something to get more air flowing through the TPI, like a STealth ram etc.

Check out the guy with the Vortec headed TPI motor, I think his username is 1Bad91Z.

For under $1,000 dolaars you can do a cam, Vortec heads and Scoggin dickey intake and get over 340-350 hp.

oh and my 350 is a carbed engine it originally was a v-6 but I swapped it out.. I want to be able to beat an LT-1 with the basic bolt on parts. I already have an edelbrock intake and carb.

What type of intake? A Performer is nearly a stock replacment manifold, a 600cfm edelbrock is probably too small if your running around sea level. What gear ratio do you have? What type of cam do you have?

I was keeping up and sometimes beating stock LT1's with a 305, 600 holley, MTC-1 cam, action+ intake and 3.42's.
