My pass. parking light doesn't work except when it's blinking...why??

Figured I should update the top post:

Here's the problem:
[*]Right turn signal light in the dash is illuminated the whole time the lights are on -this indicated a dead bulb, but I assure you this isn't the case[*]The pass. parking light and side light both do not come on when the lights are on, but they do come on when the right turn signal is activated.

Please help!

I assume you're talking about the front. There are two elements in the bulb: one for the parking lamp, one for the turn signal. The parking light element is burnt out.

It's a brand new bulb...but I guess it's possible I got the wrong type orange colored bulb...lemme go switch the one that works and see if that does the trick.

OK...switched the bulbs...still having the same problem.

But in futher investigation I also noticed that the side light on the same side also does not work when the lights are on, but does when the signal is on.

Also, the right turn signal light is illuminated on my dash. I know this normally means that a light is out, but let me assure you that they all work, just not when they're supposed to!

I had the same problem. My problem turned out to be in the pigtail. Check the wiring and make sure the connections are clean. If you get them working get you some dielectric grease and lube the sockets.

Maybe you put in the bulb backwards? You did notice that the notches on the sides of the brass are at different height.
Not calling ya dumb but I've done it myself before, and it had very similar results.
