Need Help, Car is Missing

ok my car just started to miss a few weeks ago. Could it be the crappy autozone brand ignition module I put on a year ago.

possibly....check all of your plug wires and plugs (ive had a plug wire fall off before...had a miss and couldnt figure it out because it was the number 8 cylinder and really hard to see) then check the resistance off of your injectors with an ohm meter they should be right around 16.8 i think but i believe anything above 12 is okay

If your car is missing, I'd call the police right away. :lala:

Sounds most likely like an ignition problem to me. Ignition modules tend to either work completely or not work at all. Havent heard of one causing a miss or anything like that. As someone else said, check your ignition wires. Check your spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor as well. Doesn't hurt to check your ignition coil output. Other possibilities include distributor gear wear, but that should have shown up before now, and a pickup coil going bad possibly. Does your tachometer act up?

yeah i had the exact same problem about a week ago.....my miss just got worse and worse as the plug fell farther off until it came right off....and with all the smog stuff in the way its not visible you have to give a tug on the wire to notice.
