Maximum bore/stroke of a 350?

My friend's dad has a bada$$ Corvette Stingray with a worked over 350. It's got a stroke kit in it and it's bored out like crazy. My friend doesn't know exactly how many cubic inches it equates out to, but he's claiming somewhere close to 390. What's the maximum a 383 stroker can be bored to? I can say this....I DO believe it's at its maximum limit, because it's running a low temp thermostat, a 4 core radiator, DUAL electric fans, and never runs below 220 degrees.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
A 350 block bored .060" over with a 3.75" stroke is 388 cid. That's pretty close to a 390.

you can get a 396 with a bigger stroke.

sounds more like a potential cooling problem, there is no corralation between temp an engine runs at and the bore or stroke

Really? I just assumed that since the cylinder walls were so thin that the engine would be prone to having cooling issues.

I bet he just set his electric fans improperly if that's the case.

usually the biggest stroke you can run(or would want to run) with a production block is 3.875", and i wouldn't want to run over a .040" overbore, .060" is asking for cooling problems.

but .040 over and a 3.875 stroke is 397 cubes.

Yeah, could be that the fan isnt cooling right or something with the shroud... or it could be that bore is too big and the walls are thin. The heat transfer is great, but with all that cooling i dont know why its running so hot.
