The rear tires are worn a little in the middle but they are wearing nicley, the front drivers side is wearing even but the front passenger side is wearing on the out side just a little more then the rest I would like to put that side on the front in some other spot, can I change direction? the tires are BFG and are not directonal. thanks

Try to juggle the air pressure to even out the wear on the rears. I have to rotate my tires about every 3 thou to keep the tires wearing evenly. Of course, pickups are notorious for wearing out the centers of the rear tires.

ummm id consider an alignment too because if your tires arent wearing evenly your car is probably trying to tell you something.

when my rear pass tire gets halfway worn (i have a open diff), i swap the rear tires...
lets them last almost twice as long, since the drivers side wears out alot slower then the pass side.
my fronts wear evenly, so i dont even bother switching.. i might if had a lift and air tools, but i dont see the need.

the reason why your rear tires are wearing more in the middle is because you are probably running too much air pressure in them. if only your right front tire has outer edge wear, then you probably have too much positive camber on that side. does it drift to the right at all? if it tracks straight and you have some outer edge wear on both the front tires, then it's probably a positive toe situation. either way, drop the psi in the rear a bit, and go get an alignment. any competent alignment tech should be able to do it in 45 mins or less. i hope this helped
btw, to answer your question, everyone else was right. just swap em side to side.

Hey now let's not forget the outer edges of our Camaro/Firebird front tires get worn faster anyway; it's the design of the suspension. If one is worn bald but the other side's okay, then there's a problem- but if one is just slightly more worn then the other tire, don't worry about it.
I've had different front/rear size tires on the car since 1994, never had the pleasure of rotating tires.
In fact, I don't think I've ever swapped the front tires side-to-side, either. I've swapped the back tires side-to-side a few times though

The car goes straight and in teh ten years that i have owned the car I have had at least 5 alignhments done. It is not bad it is just a little worn where as teh drivers side is perfect.

old wise tail?
years ago when radial tires first came out they said to never change the director of rotation. so if it was on the right side new it should always be on the right side. ever notice how the lable your snows when you take em off for the summer.....oh ya no one uses snows anymore.. ever notice how the label studded tires when they take em off.... well maybe some still uses them..
what could happen is a tread seperation from the change in direction from right to left... only seen it a very few times.
more likely to get a seperation from a plug in the tire as a bad repair. always ask for a patch.
i would rotate them side to side myself. You can get uneven wear on the outside of the front tire from numerous turns to the right in your caseor would it be left. if you do the same drive every day it could cause the extra wear.
lastly and most important if they are directional tires you will need to have them dismounted turned and rebalanced. tires like the goodyear eagle are directional look for an arrow on the side wall, and look at the tread to see if it looks like the pattern faces toward the front.
