Need to beat this Mustang

Ok, a kid at school I know will be getting a 99 or 2000 Mustang GT. Does anybody know what these cars run in the quarter-mile? Will this beat it?: 5.7 TPI, headers, 3" high-flow cat, 3" Flowmaster cat-back, cam, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, custom ram air, TB air foil, low-temp thermostat, and a stage 2 JET chip? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

X84,

If that doesn't do it, I'll loan you a splitting maul.

Exactly what "cam" do you have installed?

new mustang hp/et's are not very respectable numbers...so with a little work done to your 350 (hell you probably could do it w/ no work at all) all he will see is the smoke from your tires. vader what the heck is a splitting maul? they dont teach you that stuff w/ a good college education these days

according to motor trends road test results, they show a 99 14.0 seconds at 100.2 mph. i imagine your camaro will probably go a little faster than 14, at least i hope so.

good luck

just remember the guy from motorcraft thats driving the mustang down the track probably has years of experience...ask this kid how many times he's run down the track. is it a stick? chances are he can barely drive a stick and wont know how to get power from it. it crack me up when i see a stick mustang or rice car pulling away...usually the thing sounds like it's spinning 4k rpms while the car is goin 5 miles an hour. what a way to baby your $500 centerforce clutch

I am rebuilding the motor right now. It will be a Competition Cam. I forgot the stats on it but it is a roller cam RPM Range: 1600-5400. I'm pretty sure his is stick. Mine is automatic, and my dad is a mechanic so he should be able to time my shift points perfectly. Thanks.

It's an Xtreme Energy cam right? .495int .502exh RPM range 1600-5400

Man, your going to murder him

That with a decent set of intake runners and you'll likely be running a full second faster than him

Yeah, that's the correct cam. With the mods I have listed above, what do you guys think I'll be running in the quarter? I was thinking low 14's high 13's. But I don't know. Thanks.
