O2 sensor, should I use teflon tape or anti-seize or nothing at all?

Im installing a new Bosch O2 sensor in my headers, should i use some sort of sealant?

Never use any type of chemical on the 02 sensor. That will mess it up. Don't use anything. Just screw it in. Teflon tape would last maybe 10-15 seconds before it burns away.

No they come with anti seize on them allready , just pull yours out and install the new one

Pino is right - but they don't come with ENOUGH anti-seize. Teflon would burn away almost immediately, as Stinger said, and that would be good since the sensor must be grounded to the pipe.

Don't worry about sealing the thread with a sealant, since there is a gasket washer installed on the sensor just like gasketed spark plugs. Just apply a little extra anti-seize to the threads only and screw it.

i like the lead based anti seize instead of the silver kind. little harder to find but i think it works better.
