big inch small block ?

has anyone built one ? 420 to 454 c.i. small block. i am thinking about it for my new engine, and it needs to be able to handle a large shot of nitrous. i plan on touching into the 9s in street trim. i was only in high 10s this year at 130 , and my friend just ran 10.08 in his 86 with a 406 and 200 shot, so he will be in the 9s next year . also we live at 4800' eleavation

for the money invlved your gonna spend i'd go with a big block if its a drag car and not gonna see much street ...build a 481 or a 511 flat top with merlin oval ports and a shot of gas (nos 200-250) should get you there

For what its gonna cost, just build a 454" big block. Cheaper, faster, and looks hairier.

For the record, Ive heard of small blocks over 480".
