Alternator Question

I am going to put a new chrome alternator into my 91 RS for comestic reasons (I think they make engine compartments look sweet). I would like to know what power I should get and how much does that really matter to begin with? Thx in advance.

Wasn't there some joint that made a chrome conversion kit? I think it came with the housing and a new fan/pulley ...

It really depends on what you may want to use in your car. A stock replacement usually has 105 amps.......but if you use the vent, rear defogger, headlights, and custom stereo you will find it hard to maintain good current....especially if you have underdrive pulleys installed.
If you are gonna go chrome....spend the extra $$$ for a high powered alternator. Personally, the chrome look would look better or headers, air filter, intake manifold, etc. But thats my $.02

NEXT UP: SLP 1 3/4" Headers/Y-pipe, Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch kit

I do have a rear window defroster, ac, cd player and amplifier for woofer, power windows (one motor is farting out on me). I'm also putting on chrome K&N open element filter, chrome valve cover, chrome thermostat cover, steel braided hoses, etc... So i should just get a really high power (high cost) alternator.
