rotate the engine so both valves on a cylinder will be closed. unbolt and replace the rocker. tighten the new rocker nut while you spin the push rod. tighten it untill the push rod stops spinning then go 1/2 turn more. make sure the lifter isn't spinning and making the push rod look like it's still spinning. prelube everything with a quality assembly lube.
