performer system on 305 work good?

thinking of putting the edelbrock performer system on the 305 thats going in a s10 truck.
it'll be a daily driver/beater i guess the system carb, intake, cam, etc. is designed for a 5.7 and they made around 300+ w/ a 355 w/ 10.1 CR
i was thinking the performer on a 305 might be close to the RPM on a 350, what da ya think?

The problem is the heads. With the small chambers the 305 has, you cannot use performer heads. 1> valves will hit, they are 2.02/1.60, you need 1.95/1.50 for a 305. 2> 305's use 58cc heads, performers are 64cc heads. If you used these, it would lower compression to about 8:1.

But, if you use WorldProducts 305 torquer heads, you'll be just fine. I used my Desk Top Dyno2000, using a 600cfm carb, assuming the performer intake, WorldProducts heads, and Edelbrocks 2102 cam, along with stock exhaust manifolds, this setup is worth 262hp @5500 rpm. A nice set of headers will push you to 310hp.
