stock smop pump as crankcase vac. pump?

has anyone used the stock smog pump as a crankcase vaccum pump? i cant think of a reason why it wouldnt work...if it wont then itll probably just get trashed. any info?

I have read about it being done, but if I recall, you may have to underdrive it so you dont produce to much vacuum.
