Please Help Me My Car And Or Ignition Is Dead!?!?!?!?

I was tryin to install my new tach and i hooked everything up but i put the green wire on a black wire that comes out of the ignition coil and goes into the distributer body. the tach came with these connectors where the green wire runs parallel to the tach wire and you clamp it and a little piece of metal pierces the black tach wire. so i did that and i go to start up the car and it makes this horrible sound like th starter is turning wierd. SO I UNclamp the black tach wire and the wire was kinda pierced and cut so i had to slpice it back together with some other wire and now its still sounds bad when the starter turns but it sounds like crap. so i unhook everything same result. then i turn on the radio and i was turning up the sound the dome light and radio face start pulsing like getting bright then dark then the speakers start doing it so no everythings pulsing. so i turn on the orange headlights and like no sound is coming out the dome light and radio light are pulsing. WTF DID I DO ??????? the car wont start the radio sound and lights pulse and the starter sounds different/bad when it turns over and the black wire connectiong the coil to the distributer base is split. PLEASE SOMEONE help me I CANT FIX IT please give me any ideas you have.

well first off it sounds like your batterys dead so start with charging it (or try jumping it) and go from there.

2 week old batterys can still be drained if you decide to kill your battery by leaving the lights on, turning the radio up loud with the car off, leave the dome light on, repeated cranking with no starting..basically any type of draw without the car running will do a pretty efficient job of draining a battery after a few minutes..

Yea im starting to think it is the battery i just thought it was somthing else because the starter sounded really wierd.
But i still have the problem with the black wire coming out of the distributer is cut i put them back togther but through a thinner wire because thats all i have for now will that work just to start it up like once?

hmm thinner wires are never a good idea, at worst though it would probably just melt the thinner wire.. if thats all you have to work with right now try doubling up on the thinner wire, maybe even trippling up on it, good luck

did you try simply charging the other battery or jumping it? chances are if it was that new it was just drained...
