Pushrod length question

when going from a stock flat tappet cam to comp cams Extreme Energy 270 do the pushrods need to be changed? Not for durability reasons but for cam base differences.

i don't think so. read my post about clearance between the rocker and retainer. it'll tell you a few things you might want to know.

Get a pushrod length checker if you have ANY doubts. Lunati makes one that has alot of adjustablity for roller, hydraulic, solid and other issues you may have. I am glad I checked the length for my repower, it only cost me about 65$. Why not buy a set of pushrods that are perfect for YOUR motor. Most manufactures make pushrods in non-standard lengths that will be just right for your application.

if going from a flat tappet cam to a flat tappet cam the pushrod length is the same. if you were switching from flat tappet to roller or vice versa then pushrod lenght changes
