valve cover question

bought a set of used edelbrock valve covers and the PCV valve and the breather holes are at the opposite ends of the covers compared to my stock ones. will this make a difference if i just cut the hoses to new lengths on either side or does the design of the heads effect how these emission systems work?

You do know that if they are at the incorrect position to OEM you can rotate the valve covers 180' and also place them on the other head. So you have four ways of installing the valve covers.
