A 305 stroker kit is similar to a 350 kit. It uses the same 400 crankshaft. It just has a smaller bore piston. The 400 crank, 305 block .030 over stroker is 334 CID

You can also look in the back of Car Craft/Hot Rod magazines. They have advertisements in there for them as well.

So what you are saying is, 305 and a 350 stroker kit are the same. Exepted for different bore size pistons.

Pistons are different, and I think that the rods are, too. You also have to re-machine the journals.

Yes, the 350 and 305 stroker kits are the same. The rods are not different at all, only the pistons (to fit in either a 305 (3.7x6" bore) or a 350 (4.0x1" bore)). **X = depends on oversize** If you get a crank for the 2.45" main caps, no machining is required. Machining is needed when using an actual 3.75" crank from a 400 (mains are 2.65" IIRC).

Check out Powerhouse. They make a engine kit with a new crank specifically for a 305 stroker. You can order a catalog by putting your name and address on a email you send them from their website. www.enginekits.com
The kit comes with everything you need, pistons, rods, gaskets, bearings, and a new crank, all balanced. Check out my post under power adder; ATI equipped 335.

No they are NOT the same kit. Even though the 305 uses the 350s Stroke its not the same crank the 305s use,it is counter weighed for smaller pisons, so is the stroker 305 kit. its the same as the 350s but with a far smaller counter weight. They can be machined to be interchangable at some cost.(exeding the cost of buying the already made kit)
