I know it's an off question..thought I'd see just how varied the knowledge on here is And I do actually need to know. It came in the mid 80's 300SD.

Car: 87 IROC L98
Engine: 588 Alcohol BBC
Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
83-85 models had 2998cc/183CID
86-87 models had 2497cc/152.4CID

So you can think of them as a 3 liter and 2.5 liter engine. And if you're thinking about using the turbo, yes it would work nicely on a V8 and 2 would be even better.

Best 60 foot: 1.662

Well..I already have the turbo off one, and will be using it as one half of a twin setup

Wish I knew the A/R of the turbo tho..

With extremely few exceptions, the engine displacement is in the cars name. The letter designates the class (E, S, C, etc...)Ex: 240D = 2.4 liter engine, E320 = 3.2 liter engine, S500 = 5 liter engine and so on. BMW uses a similar system, except they use a number system for their classes. Ex: 328i = 3 series, 3.8 liter engine, injected. 540il = 5 series, 4 liter, injected, long wheelbase.

If I remember correctly, it's been many years since I worked on them, they are Garrett turbos. Can't you contact them somehow and ask?
