Limp Steering wheel

My steering wheel doesnt want to stay up. Seems as if the tilt is broken. Its a pain in the *** to drive like this but still possible. What needs to be replaced? The steering column?

Also where is there a race track near Rochester NY?

Thanks in advance.

there are 3 screws way deep inside it that have come lose. they're below the turn siginal switch. if you take it apart and get the turn siginal switch over to one side you'll know it when you see them. i'd use thread lock on them and tighten them back up.

Ringer,

The FOUR screws you need to tighten are located here:

If you have a '91 or newer car with an air bag in the wheel, you're going to spend a little time getting to the point in the photo. You should also remove the screws, apply Loctite 242, and retorque them to 70 inch/pounds. Any more can strip the cast zinc bowl, and any less can allow the screws to loosen again. While you're there. clean all the dried grease and reapply Lubriplate 11376 Aero Grease or a similar white lithium grease.
