Weapon R exhaust on my vette?

Well to start off, I was shoping for my sis at this place in mesquite called Joseph's electronics. It's basically a place where you take your car w/ a picture of what you want it to look like and they say "we can do it" They'll do anything you want them to do to your car. So it's ***** city up there. Well I was in the place going to buy my sis a cd player for her car. I noticed that they had all this performance stuff hanging on a chain link fence by zip ties. I saw nitrous kits, tips of ALL SIZES, and muffelers. This salesman came up to me and did the usaul "how do you do" He asked me if that was my vette, and w/o a reply immediatley tells me that this muffeler would look and sound "tight". Yes I thought it lookes good, but would it make my vette sound like a *****?
And another question
I burn oil.
I want to upgrade my cam.
Will this be a problem?
I dont burn it bad just at start up.
Will I burn more if i get a better cam?
Should I not even consider until i fix the oil prob?
thanks for the advice

Bleck.

Thats All I have To Say

AS for oil, How are you Burning Oil ? Bad Valve seals, guides? Rings ?

if its something Trvial like the Valve Seals or Guides, Just replace Em When you Put the Cam In

If You have bad rings, Then I think its Time to Think about a rebuild before Puttig in a Cam

Car: Turbo Buick
Engine: 3.8 V6
if its blowing oil just on start up its probably just the valve seals, do a compression check on the motor if all is well do the cam swap

I have to disagree with the sales guy, if he sells stuff for ricers all day long, and then says that this tip or muffler will sound "tight", forget it. It would sound like a weedwhacker.

Well, first I think that the valve seals are bad.
I'll probably do the compresion check,
But as for the muffelers, I saw them on a c5 and it looke good, but i didnt get to hear it. When I looked through the muffeler at the place, I could see right through it. The outlet of the muffeler look to be about 4" maybe 41/2" I think it just looks like a fancy glass pack. But i'm just after the look. Like it was bred for racing look.
Any suggestions on a cam, I want it to talk.

Your Vette can't go wrong with headers hooked directly to old-fashioned sidepipes! Big ol' chrome jobs that run the length between front and rear wheels. So what if sidepipes are very 70's? They sound great!
