disadvantages to a 2 bolt main

don't get all wrapped up in 4 is better than 2 if you already have a 2 bolt block. spend your money getting the crank and block trued up. you might want to consider a stud kit for the mains.

Yea, I would worry more about getting a good balance.
Hell I worry more about the 10bolt flying out or blasting the u joints off than braking my block, and It's a good 400fpt - 2 bolt - 350.
I didn't skimp on the balance, and I did stud the mains.

and if you are that concerned about your block still you can take it to a machine shop and have extra bolt holes drilled and tapped in to it to make it a 4 bolt main, but like these guys say it's not that big a deal. My 2 bolt 350 was great until the main caps blew apart.
