I don't know if Firebirds are any different from Camaros when it comes to the fuel filter, but on Camaros, it is underneath the car on the driver's side. Right about where the back seat would be.

Yep - just did mine again last night. Jacked up the car by the differential, put jackstands under the axles. Take a coffee can or something to catch fuel, a 5/8 wrench, a 13/16 wrench, a 10mm socket and ratchet to loosen the filter holder, a couple towels, and probably a LOT of WD40 if it hasn't been changed in forever.

Hey 92, sweet car and cool page, but how come your RPO (LB9) indicates a 305 but the window sticker says 5.7L (L98)? Hmmm. It's a sweet ride either way, esp if you got a 14.6 with an LB9 in a car that heavy.

Thanks man

If you look at the window sticker, it says that the 5.7L is "Standard" not equipped. It says on the right hand side that it was deleted as per the option for the T-Tops
