Threads not gunna last long, so Ill put my input, and Ill make it short. If GM was going to make the Camaro, it wouldnt look like this. Retro design doesnt sell. It never will. PT cruser, New VW bug, Tbird, Prowler... all sold really well for about... 18 months. GM didnt make there money on short lived niche cars. You want a retro 5th gen? Buy a first gen and swap in a LS1. I love that idea, and have talked with the kid(yeah, a 19 year old art student out west drew thoes cars up, and this is the 2nd edition of his design) He also realizes that his car will never be built becaue of the retro design. Sorry to disapoint you, but its not going to happen. The Camaro will be back in 07, that I can give you a 99% assurance, but no more bird. Pontiac is moving itself to be a better, more classier car company then Chevy, and the GTO will fill in that spot as a more luxo sports car. Think 350z and G35 coupe. Share the same frame and look, yet are 2 different cars. Sorry to let you bird fans down, but thats the way it looks like its going to be. On the other hand, GM is developing a cheap RWD chassis right now. Look up the Opel Insignia. That uses a moddified "Sigma" (same chassis as the CTS) IRS RWD chassis to base many new RWD and AWD cars off of. Look for large sedans with RWD and AWD coming to GM cars in the next 3-5 years or later. If you want anymore info, you can PM me and Ill point you to some cool places to find information.
