Car is in signature.

This just started happening tonight on my way home from work. The engine will shutoff if I am in any drive gear and I come to a stop. What gives?

 

Two things I have considered:

fuel filter - but it does not bog under load, so I ruled that out.

torque converter lockup problem - because I manually shift sometimes, but it does this in reverse and drive as well as 1 & 2.

What I am thinking is a vaccum problem, because I recently had the govenor worked on (shift points) and that is vaccum controlled.

Any thoughts?

 

Whoa not everyone all at once now!

 

i had a problem like that recently but i had an auto zone dist in there when it started happening. i exchanged it for another one and problem went away. i'm thinking it was the module. i removed the Wells one and put in a GM one that i had laying around.
