You could swap in a T56 and be able to pull 6th gear?!

I wonder how much power it would take to rev to 5500?

why couldn't you swap a t 56. it's not so much a question of power to rev to any rpm but more the ability of the engine to move air in and out of the engine.

The T56 swap is very doable. The key to my pondering was pulling 6th gear to redline.

ok i follow you now. it'd take a lot to get 6th to max out, more then engine power alone to do it.

I agree that aerodynamic efficiency will be very significant at higher speeds, but as it stands now top speed is achieved in 5th gear, not sixth. Is there a way to calculate what it would take to even match the speed in 5th?
