I bought it, and before I realized that the surface was not parallel to the head, I bent 2 of my rocker arms. One very pronounced, the other slightly.

On a second note. How hard is it to replace bent rocker studs? This sucks.

Looking at the Moroso part, it looks like the head is flipped over. Dare I flip the head on the Proform part? I already need to replace 2 studs, I'm not looking forward to a third. Maybe I'll just buy a screw type compressor. This is really lame.

to replace the bent studs put a stack of washers on the stud and thread a nut on, it'll pull the stud as the nut is tightened down. there are repair studs with threads for the ehad side and a small sholder that doesn't require any machining unlike preformance replacement studs. for a SBC you'd want a c clamp looking compresser for the heads off and one that sort of looks liek a screw. i have 2 of each, pair from k-d tools and a pair from snap. on, both work great.

I'm not sure if I want to tap the heads, and may lean towards pressing them in unless there is no choice. The heads are still on the car, and it's kind of tight. The screw compressor is what is used for the heads on the car, is that correct?

Thanks,

yeah for the heads on the engine you'd want the screw type. i don't think you have any choice but to tap the head for a repair stud, but i could be wrong. just never heard of anyone pressing a new stud in.
