exhaust popping... wtf
so I've got hooker 2055s, no catalytic converter, and a 3" hooker catback. Very very minor insignificant exhaust leaks are possible. When I'm on the highway, and I go from 2500 rpm down to about 2000, I occasionally get a pop from the exhaust pipe... I haven't checked my timing lately (ever, lol) and I was wondering if that just came out of tune.
I've also got a 32 EGR problem, ever sicne my header install. Is this linked? The popping started when I got my 2055s on... Do you think a new EGR will solve both problems?
Thanks for input.

IIRC the pop is fuel being burned off with too little timing on decel. The 20:1 or so fuel mixture on decel may also play a contributing factor to this. Its normal and now that you have an aftermarket exaust youll hear it much more clearly. The solution is to run more timing where the engine is at high rpms and low map and the pop will go away.
The egr code is probably due to the reduced back pressure that you now have with the aftermarket exaust. Some egrs need back pressure to operate properly. The ecm goes to deactivate the egr but now that its not circulating exaust gasses it no longer sees a pressure drop in the intake manifold so it sets a code.
