wow i havent posted a message on here in atleast 6 months - hehe anyways im back - im getting a strange sound from under the dash by all the fuses. NO crank.. brand new battery...if i take the vats fuse out i still get nothing but no sound anymore...PLEASE help. i NEEED the car tonight...thnx..

update: when i take the acc (int acc) fuse out it doesnt make the weird sound but still no start - there was an alarm on the car but its been dissabled - when trying to start the car you can here faint sounds from the engine. weird stuff. like some weird noises by the speed density **** at the front of the plenum and once and a while i hear something coming from the starter - but not all the time.

we tried puttin the car in gear and rockign it to see if the starter was stuck but ntohing there. the car actually wont even roll forward at all. it could be my parking break sticking cuz it has b4 but it WILL roll backwards...

 

some suggestions by some friends: starter, starter selenoid. fuseable link by the starter.....

Has it ever started since the VATS was removed??

Check all battery cable connections.

Check condition of battery.

If thats all good, can you just jump the batt + cable on the starter to the start teminal and get it to crank??

If you can jump the terminals and it cranks, check for key power down at the starter while someone holds the key in the start position.

This should narrow down a few posibilities.
