That just seems too cheap for a quality fluid dampner/balancer, but then again that is just the starting bid price. Although I have not called them yet, they seem to be a new company just starting out!
It says they are SFI certified.

I heaven't heard of that company, but I would have to agree with ede, you get what you pay for. However for a street motor I think it would be alright. I got one from RPM motorsports that I'm going to use on my 305 that I rebuilt. I figure it's got to be better than the stock elastomer damper that has 200k miles on it. I wouldn't use it on a race motor, but for the street I think it would work alright...
Oh, forgot to mention, my 305 is just a daily driver...

Yeah, I agree--you do get what you pay for, BUT this seems to be a new company just starting out. I went to their web site
http://www.mdbextreme.com/default.asp
and the balancer in question lists for 135.00 I think it was. If this is in deed a new company, making a good quality product, I would hate to pass it up just for this reason. I wish I could find out more about them and the product!!! After all, ATI, TCI, Fluidampr all had to start somewhere, and somebody had to be one of their first customers! I just don't want to be a test pilot and find out later that something was not right with the product at the expense of my 350!

Not to jump your post, Zap but does anyone have a clue why Fluidamper went out of business?

Thanks, ronterry, for the explanation. I was bumping around in last years Jegs and Summit and couldn't find Fluidamper products. I called Jegs and was told they ceased operations. Both of the current catalogs I just recieved have them listed again. I guess the stopage was just temporary.
