Tdc??
I have done a search and can't seem to find what i am looking for.
First of all, i have just finished putting a new 350 in my car. Everything is in and wired correctly. My question is, what could be the reason that my car will not fire? I have put a piece of paper in the #1 socket and when it blew out, i stopped cranking and adjusting the timing to try reaching TDC.
I have checked to make sure it is getting spark, which it is. I also made sure that my rotor was facing the #1 plug. I have also checked my fuel pressure with the key on and engine off which is supposed to be 40-47 psi but i was only getting readings at 38psi.
Any help or comments would be great.

You need to have the #1 cylinder at TDC for its compression stroke and not exhaust. Turn the engine so that it is at TDC (rotor facing the way you said) and make sure that the balancer is aligned with the zero on the timing tab. If it isn't that your #6 cylinder is at TDC on compression and your #1 is at TDC for exhaust. If that is the case you need to pull your distributor and rotate it 180*.
