question about gear drive timing set

I recently purchased a Pete Jackson timing set off of a 91 Camaro with a 350 TPI. I am going to put it on my 87 T-A with a 305. The problem I have run into is the cam gear locks against the cam plate bolts. The cam gear has a bronze bushing on one side of it and I am sure that it goes toward the cam. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Ben

I'd need my instructions, but IIRC the gear set came with 2 bolts that had smaller heads for the cam plate.

You might want to call Summit or somebody else and make sure that the Pete Jackson part number is the same for the two different applications. The '91 TPI 350 uses a roller cam. I'm not sure if your '87 305 does.

I hope this helps.
