what can i do to squeeze some more power?
hey guys, my car is not being driven due to winter, but i was thinking about some new mods, what do you guys think i can do to get some more uhmph out of it, currently i have
305 .20 over roller h.o
crane powermax 2032 roller cam 270/276 .452/.465
stock 1.5 rockers
World s/r torquer 305 heads
Edelbrock performer intake with ccc q-jet jetted L69 Air Cleaner
Headers / edelbrock cat back / gutted cat / emissiond deleted
underdrive pulley
T5 / Centerforce DF with 3.73 posi
what would comp cams 1.6 roller tip rockers do for me?
any suggestiong? and dont say 350, this motor is fresh with 5k on it, done by myself.

def do roller rockers next....
1.6s would raise your lift to .482 and 0.496... just be sure that clears (if you used decient parts it should).
just FYI, to calculate 1.6 ratio valve lift from a 1.5 ratio valve lift just divide the lift by 1.5 then multiply by 1.6..
lift / 1.5 * 1/6
btw, the number you get when dividing by 1.5 is your tappet lift..
anyhoo after that, the next big power boost id go for on a 305 would be a power adder... nitrous or boost... nitrous is cheaper and easier, boost is a lil more costly, but the power is always there.

i'd say 1.6 roller rockers, some sticky slicks, and get a performer RPM intake...that's worth 14HP alone I saw in one build up over that performer intake. It really woke my 305 up, one of the biggest noticable gains i saw.
Also, you can go the nitrous route, or do some porting onto those heads for more flow.
sounds like a good combo....would love to run you in my 305.
