I know this is probably a dumb question to ask, but did you disconnect the battery and clear the codes from the computer?

Which code are you getting?
33, 34, 36.?
I’m going to assume a 36 since you mentioned the relay.
I have attached the factory flow chart for that code.
If it is a different code please let me know

I'd be boxing up that MAF and sending it back. My MAF is definitely not a Bosch... and make some noise.
As far as I understand (from one of the application engineers I know there), Wells does not remanufacture used Bosch MAFs as replacements, as Tomco, Borg-Warner, and other companies do. If you have questions, call Wells Manufacturing and ask about that. 920-922-5900
You might have received a MAF that some other customer cleaned up, reboxed, and returned to the parts dealer as "Not Needed" for a refund. In their ignorance, they might have placed it back on the shelf and sent it to the next poor SOB that odered one (you). I'd advise that you contact the supplier ASAP to clear this up, since you may have a second, just as defective MAF for whatever you paid. Obviously, another bad MAF isn't going to fix your problems.
