What are some simple, cheap ways to get the horsepower up on my 305? I am doing headers as soon as I have the money, but I want the engine to have 250-300 horsepower when I am done upgrading it. I don't want anything real hard to do, like boring or putting in a crank. My engine is a stock 305 throttle body. Any suggestions would help. P.S. How much horse power could the stock automatic trans take? I will most likely put a shift kit in it.

 

The trans will take pretty much any HP you make with a Tb. Best thing is to do is a search. But the most basics are exhaust (cat-back, headers), Computer, Ignition, Fuel. I dont know much of what to do on a TB, but a search should turn up some good results.

cam, headers, intake, computer chip, ignition, fuel pressure....just depends on what you want from it.
