Well, if you are running a cam with .560 lift then use the recommended springs for them. Every cam has a recommended spring that you NEED to use otherwise you risk them binding, breaking and/or floating.

Doc,

Your spriing pocket size makes a difference,t ake a gander through Comp, etc, and match a similar cam for you setup (assume hyd roller) and see the recommended springs...pay attention if they are 1.25 diameter vs larger diameter.

Then head to Jegs/Summit, etc, and price'em out.

really depends on your cam, match the springs to the cam. 2 cams with same lift may take differant springs, rollers use lot more spring than a flat cam.

I'm looking at a Comp Cams 224/230 .560 valve lift and its a hydraulic roller cam. BTW: I am running AFR 190cc heads.

The 987 dual springs are recommended by Comp Cams. pg 338.
