Hey guys I can't find in my haynes manual wut the torque is sopposed to be on the main cap bolts. I remember the last engine i built I used arp bolts and they said liek 65 i belive. So what is it with stock bolts?? also what are the rod bolts sopposed to be at? thanks guys

 

i'd find my manual before i'd trust someone on here to give me the specs.
WAG mains 70 ft/lb, rods 40 ft/lbs

 

60 on the mains and 40 on the rods.

 

Stock, 2-bolt caps?

 

We need way more info from you.

What ARP bolts are you using?

What type of lube are you using?

and what Vader asked?

 

2 bolt-1 peice rear main seal. stock bolts. I had the short block built and i just wunna make sure.

Are they new bolts? I'd be nervous about reusing old bolts there...
