Cam ?'s
ok first off im not to familiar with camshafts. I do know that right now i have a Elgin hydraulic cam (around .470 lift) in my 350. I was just curious what the difference is in hyd flat tappet, and hyd roller, solid, etc. I heard that some of the cams you need to do a lot of adjustments to your motor. That i dont want to do, i want a great cam that makes awesome power w/o adjustments. I was told hyd roller is one of the best cams to go with for no adjustments but i just need to go with a roller setup, i.e. lifters,rockers... Anyways the reason for all this is because i want around 450hp out of my 350 and i know that cam i have is WAY to small. If anyone of you guys know which cam would do great to make some awesome power please let me know, oh yeah and here are the specs of my motor:
350 bored .040
crank turned .010 and fully balanced
KB -18cc dish top pistons
Edelbrock performer heads (angle milled down to make 10:1 compression)
Edelbrock RPM air gap intake
Edelbrock 770cfm carb
flowtech 1 5/8 headers ( i know i need 1 3/4)
posi with 3.73 gears
will be going with a 3200 stall
Now what would be the best cam for this????
